I always put “influencer” in quotes because I feel like declaring yourself an “influencer” implies that you’re bragging about your status.

1. Be genuine.

This goes in every single situation, but when you’re broadcasting yourself to hundreds or thousands of people on social media, it can be even more tempting to sculpt yourself into this persona that you think everyone will like.

But don’t.

Just like if you pretend to be someone you’re not while on a date, even if you eventually start dating, it doesn’t work out, because they didn’t fall in love with you, they fell in love with the character you created.

The ones who love you for you will stay. The ones who don’t will leave. But that’s what you want to happen, anyway.

I learned to be myself and to embrace myself. From the clumsiness, to the joy of staying in and sleeping early, to the little and big struggles, I aim to be 100% transparent and 100% me.
